I'm having a rough time...

Now, please allow me to get down to business.  Many of you have already partnered with me earlier in the Fall of 2009, as I began the process of underwriting my part to participate in The Samuel Project.  I feel sure that many of you—if not most of you—have no idea what your help thus far in this process has meant to me.   As some of you are aware, The Samuel Project [SamPro] is a first year project of the North Texas District, and it’s extremely important that the cost of training each of us who are the enrolled students must be fully received in order to get SamPro on its feet…and moving forward!  So it is imperative that I carry my own weight.  For me personally, this year has already been a time when I am learning to be flexible, and also a time for me to learn some personal discipline—thankfully with both issues I am seeing progress.  However, it is now a necessity that I get my money in to pay my portion of SamPro, and for the missions trip that is also part of our training.

Let me just be honest with you.  One of the greatest hurdles that any student faces in furthering his education is the cost of tuition. It’s difficult for college students to pay for tuition as they go, this leads them/us to incur tremendous debt that many carry with them for years.  Recognizing the need for ministry students to enter their work without that terrible burden is the very reason the North Texas District leaders developed the Samuel Project.   Each year we are required to meet our obligation for that year.  I only have $7,000 remaining for this year. $3,000 of that I need to raise within the next month and a half…I must admit that this is a huge stretch for me, but I know that God is going to help me pull through on this.
I’m sending you this newsletter to make you aware of the mountain I’m climbing to reach my goal. I am confident that God will supply, but I also know He uses people.  It’s difficult to ask, but I need some help. I pray that God will open your heart to help me reach my goal, so that in turn, I can positively impact others.

  1. It's been a month since this post, thought I'd check and see how it's going. Have you reached your goal? Are things moving along?
